there will be and was always a problem with the ebay feed because they submit “new with tags” as condition. Until now it was only a problem of the data quality but it is now a problem of being listed or not?

    John says:

In stamps there is no item specific choice of ‘new’ or ‘used’. There is no ‘new’ and a range of other choices.

This is on the basis that new stamps are only sold at post offices.

    Can it default to used?

eBay needs to do some work?

      Sue Bailey says:

You’d think stamps could default to used, really, John, wouldn’t you. And there’s no reason that “new with tags” in ISs can’t map to “new” for Google.

Yet again, it’s a problem of the people developing the site not having anything to do with using the site.

#3, I’m not complaining about it, I’d rather have the same items on my web show up as opposed to the same items on eBay.I know which I make more money from

550 item uploaded from my eBay feed yesterday morning with 3 invalid conditions, using a program I wrote. Haven’t put in the program a default condition for vinyl records listed on eBay.com yet.

For those unable to upload their feeds successfully to Google the link is to a zip file of the programs I use to successfully upload my feeds. Included is the one I’m using to send my Fixed Price format listings on eBay.com to Google Base US

Ah well none of my ebay listings are showing up on google base anymore…

Is there anyway to ‘feedify’ them into base?

    Craig Clark says:

I save my store feed from eBay to an XML file. Then I use Note Pad to change all the descriptions to Used (I sell collectibles and vintage so everything is used). The first time I did this was right after the June 30 deadline and everything listed fine. I have been doing the same this week and Goggle is saying that everything is missing a condition.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for any help you can give.

      Sue Bailey says:

Craig, you need to have an extra attribute that specifies new/used, not just another line in the description (if that’s what you’ve been doing).

Mis spoke when I wrote description. I am changing the condition attribute from “see description” to “used”.
