#9 I’m assured that eBay aren’t giving slaps for email addresses in messages, they’re just automatically stripping them out. Any policy issues must have been from a different lapse

Are ebay giving slaps for E-mail addreses in ASQ’s?

My dashboard now says poor for policy compliance (was previosly GOOD)
Nothing from ebay in MY MESSAGES
Violation says “Circumvention of eBay Fees”
Powerseller status says no policy violations.

Is it a glitch?

Here’s an idea eBay, call me crazy if you want…why don’t you make sure something works before launching it?

The new system is fine if there is just one member within the seller organisation responding to queries. It is a complete shambles if you have more than one member responding, particularly if they are remote. At least the previous system allowed you to respond to the query and it be shown in My eBay that it had been responded to. eBay’s solution is respond via My Messages, but we all know that is v. slow and laborious – and you still need to check your email client for the other mails.

Another issue we have found is that suddenly a lot of eBay related mails are now marked as SPAM; we have not changed our setting for months – is this another step on the way to screwing up our communication DSR?

The old messaging system worked the new system at present doesn’t seem to work. Love the spin

Once eBay has fully rolled out anonymous messaging, their next step is monitor content so you don’t attempt any off-eBay sales. In the mean time, deliverability rate has gone up since eBay.com servers are more trusted than my domains will be. Its so much easier to get blacklisted, when the volume of e-mails you send out is a tiny fraction of what eBay sends out.

Will you be able to get round them stripping out email addresses by putting spaces in, eg kate @ email.com ?

It isn’t true that email addresses within messages are being stripped out. My email signature is sent in full when I reply through Outlook.
I tested it myself between two user ID’s this week. I’m sure ebay will sort that out soon though.
