Easier selling on eBay for Charity

eBay for Charity is about to become easier to use, and cheaper too, with the minimum donation due to drop from £2.00 to just £1.00 per listing.
The entire eBay for Charity program is due to be revamped this month, with a more streamlined process. No longer will sellers have to register with MissionFish, but will be able to make charity donations through their default payment method (however you normally pay your eBay invoice – Paypal / Credit Card / Direct Debit).
Once the changes take place all eBay for Charity activity will take place on the eBay site though My eBay. This includes requesting donation refunds for unpaid items which will be added into the unpaid item console.
The aim is to make eBay for Charity accessible with just a couple of clicks when selling an item on eBay. The changes should be implemented on the 14th May and the eBay for Charity website will also be updated later this month.

Are they dropping MissionFish altogether? I have always found the MissionFish process a little too tedious to be practical.

Hi Freddy, and that’s exactly what they’re addressing… the tedious processes that put people off using eBay for Charity.
Behind the scenes not a lot will change. At the front end which you see it’ll all be nicely streamlined with no Missionfish agreement to sign up to, no need to visit the Missionfish site to sell, no need to visit the Missionfish site to pay donations, and no need to visit the Missionfish site to handle unpaid items.
Every function you need in order to use eBay for Charity will be nicely streamlined in My eBay and the listing flow

I tried once and aborted once I got involved with missionfish, probably try again now. Might be good for trade and its for a good cause.

This is great news for those that want to sell the odd item for charity. Integration into My eBay is the key to adoption so good move eBay/MissionFish.
