Austrian village sells chapel on eBay

An Austrian village are selling their 18th century chapel on eBay. The sale includes the hand-blown glass windows, but not the bells or furniture, and the buyer will have to collect the chapel themselves. The sale is the idea of town chief Walter Leitgeb, as the chapel needed to be moved to make way for a wider road. Proceeds will go towards building a new chapel.

But the local priest said he knew nothing about the sale ; “I see it as a bad April Fool’s joke,” he told reporters.
