eBayers needed…

kitchenerWere you one of the hardy souls using eBay before 2001? Do you remember the days of Billpoint, having to create your own invoices and being allowed to link to your website? Did you send envelopes stuffed with dollar bills to US sellers in the days before Paypal?

Or are you a cutting-edge seller who’s using video to promote your items? Is YouTube your new best friend, or has Flash brought you cash?

Either way, Dan Wilson would like to hear from you.

I remember good old Billpoint :-) – so much more friendly than PayPal. Just a shame it wasn’t as successful in other countries as it was in the UK! :-(

    If only!!

Yes, if I had of known about eBay back then, then I sure would have registered and started my dream back then. I will continue to “kick” myself for not doing just that.

Come, come, Dan! It was a darn sight better then cheques and envelopes stuffed full of cash! If the rest of the world had done as good a job in promoting it as the UK did eBay could have built their own PayPal instead of buying one :-p

We had a lot more fraud with Billpoint then we ever did with PayPal and they charged $25 to investigate every instance.

eBay was a lot more fun back then though.
